We had a leisurely start this morning. We went to Maasmechelen Village, an attractive high end retail outlet. We enjoyed walking
round but resisted the temptation to buy anything. We did however enjoy a
delicious hot chocolate in one of the restaurant.
Next door was another retail park. We had a quick look round and then headed to
Shoko for a very tasty lunch and beer.
Then it was back to the house to get ready for André, but we had time to see the horses drinking and people enjoying the river. Although this is strictly speaking the River Meuse/Maas most of its waters were diverted many years ago to form a navigable river some distance away.
Lovely place for a mid-morning hot chocolate with top end toilets!
